The Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro are now official in India, bringing quad cameras and big batteries to the masses. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
Realme 5 Pro comes with quad cameras. The device is the first in their respective segment to sport four rear cameras and is expected to pack powerful hardware and new designs, among other things. The Realme 5-series will succeed the Realme 3-series which was launched in India earlier this year. The Realme 5 Pro will be available exclusively on ecommerce retailer Flipkart as well as offline stores.
The Realme 5 Pro has a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen (19:9) on the front. Realme claims more than 90 percent screen-to-body ratio which is fantastic and says that the notch is 30 percent smaller than on the last generation phone (we couldn’t tell).
The USP of the Realme 5 Pro smartphone is the quad camera setup. It will be the first in its segment to sport a quad camera setup. The Pro model comes with a 12MP primary shooter, an 8MP f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP camera for portraits, and a 2MP macro shooter. It will be able to click excellent images even in dim light conditions and is ideal for amateur photographers looking for a device in the budget segment. The phone has a 16MP front selfie camera.
Performance is the strong suit of the Realme 5 Pro. It is driven by Qualcomm’s new age 700-series chipset – the Snapdragon 712. Competitors have been calling out Realme for use of dated chipset, so this should temporarily put them to rest. The Realme 5 Pro’s Snapdragon 712 is a higher clocked variant of Snapdragon 710 and shows 10% performance improvement
Realme has revealed that the Realme 5 Pro will pack a massive 5,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support that will ensure that your phone will remain juiced up for long.
This is a good phone for gaming and other photography purpose. This device has better performance with the new chipset and is a great buy at this price. The screen quality is also nice. Other alternatives are Redmi Note 7 Pro and Mi A3 and if want a superAMOLED display then go for Samsung A50.
